Introducing: Jamie!

Posted on Feb 3, 2012 in Dolls | 0 comments

I’ve come to realize (and accept) that most of my dolls don’t really have a gender. It’s ok with me, you can decide what you want your little dolly to be. So from now, I will be giving them a gender-neutral name. :) So… Introducing, Jamie! I really love this little one, s/he might actually be my favorite one yet! S/he is for sale, so if you’re interested, just give me a shout!

Mike & Molly

Posted on Nov 8, 2011 in Dolls | 0 comments

Special Announcement: This little lady now has a permanent spot on the Mike & Molly set. How cool is that?! A big thanks goes out to my friend, Kathy Nawabi, for making it happen. I couldn’t have done it without her help. Be sure to check out the show each week! Every time there is a bedroom scene you should be able to see the doll, hanging out on the dresser.  You can check out a clip of the show here.

Cake Topper

Posted on Jul 19, 2011 in Crafts, Other Things I've Made | 1 comment

I desperately wanted one of these cake toppers for our wedding cake but could not afford them. They are super adorable though, don’t you think? I also waited until about a month before the wedding to even think about cake toppers. Well that’s not entirely true… I thought about it all the time… it just wasn’t until a month before that I actually decided to do something about it. Patrick came up with the great idea for me to make our own toppers—something similar to my block dolls. I wasn’t sure how or if I was going to be able to do it. But I did! And they came out pretty adorable. I searched and searched for a little dollhouse dog figurine that looks like Charlie to sit with us…but could not find one… sigh.

Don’t those cupcakes and cake look amazing? They were! My amazing dad made them for me… along with many many other things that made our day special.

Bee

This is the bee I drew (using photoshop) for our wedding invites. I only wish I drew it at a larger scale…this is as big as it gets. I think it turned out pretty neat.

Remember that time…

Posted on Jul 19, 2011 in Random | 0 comments

I just came across a series of photos taken by Andrew Bush. They totally remind me of this time when I was with my mom. We were driving down to Little Rock and we drove by this man who had a mustache. He looked completely normal besides the giant white, round earrings, navy blue pattered dress, and full blown makeup. When you’re an 8 year old girl… Nothing could be funnier. My mom and I laughed and laughed. It’s one of my favorite memories with her.

I wonder where he was going? It wasn’t even Halloween. Was it a joke? Did he loose a bet? So many questions for a little lady to have.

What’s your favorite memory with your mom? or someone just as close to you?

(Seriously, imagine this guy wearing a dress)

Imagine this guy.. wearing a dress.

*Side note. This was also the time whenever my mom would get mad as someone one the road she would call them DildoLips. hahahaha. Oh mom. I love you.

Instagram Photos

I downloaded the Instagram App a few months ago… and thought…”This is lame, just use hipstamtic and post on facebook, what’s the diff?” It wasn’t until recently that I found out I was terribly wrong. This app is amazing, and I’m starting to get addicted. I love how you can take existing photos and turn them into an old looking photo… and there so so many filters to choose from! AND you can post to flickr, twitter, facebook, email… or nothing at all. You can just post in the instagram world. I really love it. I also love taking photos of my dog. There are only 2 things that I wish were different. 1) I wish I could take higher res photos. 2) I wish it had a regular website that we could all log into to see everybody’s lovely photos all at once & BIG and not just on the tiny iPhone. Download it. And Follow me (emilymolloy). What’s your instagram screen name? I will follow you.

Now that Patrick and I are married. OH BY THE WAY I GOT MARRRIEDDD!!!  It was beautiful. You can see our wedding site here and check out our photos here. It was amazing. Really, really AMAZING.

Anyway, now that we’re married and I have my life back and can start drawing…and blogging again. And once we find a new (larger) apartment…which I hope will be soon… I can start making dolls again! Oh, I can’t wait. Anyway, here is my first drawing in a long long time… besides our wedding invites and any other related wedding things. I should really post our cake toppers that I made. I will do that next. It’s nice to be back, blog. I hope to see you more often.
